A friend of mine recently went into his local 7/11 connivence store and came across the disturbing image of two singing Santa Clause dolls. But these were not your ordinary Christmas fan favorite St. Nicholas’. One doll was the typical image of a Caucasian man portrayed as the Santa that you usually see around this time “Ho Ho Ho”ing in his red suit and soft white beard; yet his trusty accomplice, usually a Black man in a similar red suit and soft white beard was dressed differently. In this case the Black Santa was decked out in what looked like some LRG jeans, a lumberjack hoodie and some Timberland boots. If that wasn’t discouraging enough, he also had a pair of “stunta shades” and a bandanna tied around his head similar to how Tupac used to wear his. Oh, and not to mention his hand was positioned as is Santa was telling you to “check your self” or running your pockets for some cash. As seen in the picture above, this getup that the black santa was laced in was not only insulting but discouraging to black people everywhere.
The toy is refereed to as the “Wraggling Santa” doll made by a company called Action Novelty Corp. and is placed for purchase at 7/11 stores around the country. The fact that this ghetto-fied Santa is being positioned and sold next to a traditional “better” white Santa goes to show the disparities that occur within society. Little kids everywhere look up to Santa and all he has to offer during the holiday season. Imagine what type of message this gangster Santa is sending to Black youth or even to the white children who walk into the store and take note that their idol has a friend who looks like he robs corner stores and drinks a 40oz.
The next time you go into 7/11 and see this “hood Santa” on the shelves next to some Twinkies, I suggest you demand that the manager take that shit down.

ha his left hand looks like he’s reaching for something….better keep this pic away from the NYPD….we know how thoro they can get with an unarmed black man…..
What happened to the regular black Santa in the regular santa costume?????
It’s a shame… I wonder how much MTV and BET these CEO’s actually look at when they are home. You know something, I think the their kids are posioning the minds of these CEO’s. There wouldn’t be so much negative press if the kids aren’t so influenced. Just some thoughts…
